My Stand on Teenage Fads

Smoking - I think smoking is one of the few things in this world I wish never existed. I think it has no purpose, no purpose at all. For social status maybe? Or perhaps the idea of "iM kEwL cuZz iM sMokiN'" or "Yosee break, pare!"? If you're going to risk you're life for that mentality and personality add-on 'necessity' which will only last for, let's say, 5 years or so? It's just not worth it. I just think it's absurd. Besides, I suffer from phlegmatic asthma that I experience at least once or twice a year and gosh--don't let me get into the details. It literally leaves you 'breathless'. It's one of the things in life that no one person can fully describe and one must experience the hard truth. You can never make me smoke, probably because at times when I have asthma, I already suffered its possible consequences.

Drinking - Occasional drinking is fine, I just don't like seeing people getting drunk. It scares me, especially when they're my peers. I like wine, but I don't like hard drinks. I don't think drinking helps you escape from life's iniquities. It just lifts you up on a temporary trance, but the morning after, you know that your problems are bigger than ever, coupled with a pile of undone homeworks left in the coffee table.

Clubbing - I think clubbing is fine, because I love dancing. As long as you're having a good time, then why not? I don't like the idea of "hooking up" and "one night stand" of post-club affairs though. You're in a club to dance, have fun, and forget the rest. Well, that's for me, I don't know how others see clubbing.

Premarital Sex - I think it's pointless to have sex in your adolescent years. Safe sex or not, it just worsens the problem of teenage unwanted pregnancies. I pity those girls who regret having sex and being pregnant at a young age; they have to face the responsibilities of mothering and some of them can't even go to college. I mean, how broken is that? Some people waste the thought that they are young and so many things are ahead of them. Why waste your whole life over a measly thirty-minute temptation for pleasure? And what about STDs? The negatives totally outweigh the positives of premarital sex (heck, if there's even a positive). No to premarital sex.

Don't Play with Fire, Dear

This goes out to every manhid individual of the opposite sex.

Dear, don't play with fire. You think you're smart but we girls can outsmart you anytime.

If she's kind, it doesn't mean she likes you.

If she's with you, it doesn't mean she wants to.

If she laughs, it doesn't mean she thinks you're funny.

So don't think you're anything special to her.

Be keen. Be conscentious. Don't act like you're the bomb.

Life

So what's up? A lot of things happened. Aside from the fact that my blog entries are declining this past few months (Jan and Feb) well...I've been so much busy and it's...well, let me describe it in one word: crazy.

It seemed to me like there's a sudden galactic explosion of homeworks, tests, midterms, projects, collaborative groupworks--to sum it up: my planner is bearly readable. Right now, I'm in a middle of a I'm-bored-of-reviewing-I-think-I'm-gonna-blog crisis in a middle of an unpcoming bonggacious exam next week. The readings I have to review are thicker and heavier than your average encyclopedia. But what do you know? There's always tomorrow... cramming has always been in my vocabulary. Somehow it has become an effective studying strategy for me. :)

WHATEVER COMES OUT

Jun Lozada in UP - sadly, I was not there. But I highly regret it, not because I want to label myself as a socio-political freak, but I do care about these matters. I personally am affected, like millions of Filipinos, in this plummeting government system worsened by these anomalies--which the ZTE scandal is just a single part of. I am a sufferer of the tuition fee increase, a victim of a progressing commercialism of UP's educational system. Well, social issues aside, I want to see him in person. For the curiosity maybe? Just because. Tee-hee.

I don't like hurting other people unintentionally - I really don't like to hurt people when I don't mean what I say. Or at times when they get me wrong. It takes me to a guilt trip and end up feeling bad the whole time.

I LOVE LOBO - I love ABS-CBN's new soap, Lobo. The story, well, a sum of allusions from different TV shows and movies (Devil Wears Prada, Blood and Chocolate, etc.) but nevertheless, I really find everything in this soap very entertaining. The actors/actresses pulled it off very well! Especially Pila Pilapil. :)) The Piolo-Angel tandem, gives me the kilig vibes. I can't help but smile when Noah looks at Lyka as if she was the only girl in the world. Awwww! Sorry if I'm a little biased, but I don't like comparing this soap to Marimar. Probably because I never had the chance, nor the effort to watch Marimar. It's just a matter of taste and preference guys.

Halo-Halo

Here is a random post of a few thoughts about some things.

Transferring:
Okay, so I got to call UPM today about the schedules of inquiries about transfers. I'm so happy that they would allow me to transfer with only 30 units (how happy is that--meaning I won't have to take summer!) to transfer! Hope I'll avail slots soon. I'm so excited. I'm really praying about this. God is so good.

Free Jhune Lozada:
Napakagarapal na ng bulok na sistema ng gobyernong ito. Why the heck would you abduct somebody whom you won't suspect to threaten your credibility? Let's face it--if you have nothing to do with Jhune Lozada's 'abduction', then why does the peg fit in its hole? He knows the details about the NBN Broadband Scam. Set him free if you're not scared. Set him free if the truth lies within your administration. Set him free if he's not a threat to this filthy and nonsensical system you have.
